How Does Creativity Define You?

Creativity is the sole heart of modernization, technology and the arts.  Without creativity, humanity would still thrive in caves.  There is no argument against creativity being an important aspect of our society.  Breaking through barriers that we as humanity have built.  Mending the fences between many thoughts on any subject.
Looking into yourself, finding that expression that means the most with you - ANYONE can be creative.

I can find my inner strength as I create, expression of my emotions and finding that focus, drive a connection to my zen is what creation means to me.

Internalizing so much along my journey of life, keeping so much inside and not finding a way out...until now.  Channelling fear, sadness, happiness from inside out onto the canvas is enlightening, energetic.

5x7 Acrylic Dirty Pours - Abstract

I created these yesterday and now waiting for them to fully dry - my plan is to once dry they will go into these black metal frames.  I used Acrylic Paints, Hair Serum, and Silicone, all done as a dirty pour.

I am an Artist & I don't need to make sense...

"The world doesn't make sense, so why should I paint pictures that do?"
out of the mouth of Pablo Picasso

Emotions are powerful, in the newspaper headlines to social media.  Emotions have become the primary way of understanding the world around us.  I create to help me understand my emotions, my world around me.

Inside Out Onto My Canvas

It’s time to start exploring the inner creativity. Letting myself learn from my experiences. I cannot deny or disagree with what happens, just letting it happen, opening my eyes enough to see the lesson and figuring out how I can come out of the experiences with strength and knowledge transforming my experiences channeling the emotions into my art.  I am addicted to releasing, channeling to get it all out of what is inside out onto my canvas.

Teal Fluid Dirty Pour Acrylic

Made these tonight mixing up these colors with a silver metallic acrylic gives this dirty pour a pop.  Up close you see these sparkle.

Fluid Art Freshly Dirty Pour

Worked on this one tonight for a while - then I was covered up to my elbows in acrylic run off paint.  This one was so much fun and the colors mixed with m glittery metallic acrylic paints.  I simply cannot wait for this one to dry.

Happiness Levels Begins with Creativity

Exercising our creativity can give us an outlet from our daily routines, helping us express emotions and boost our happiness levels.

If you hear a voice within you say you cannot paint, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.”

Capturing Moments of the Hearth

One of my favorite things to do is taking pictures - capturing the moment and what I see as pretty, beautiful or a moment that touches me one way or another.

I Find My Zen

My paintings have become a place for me to restore the sense of wonder, love and freedom of my expression.  I had battled Cancer, while I was laying in my bed many of days and nights weak, tired from the chemo; I would dream of things that I hadn't gotten around to.  Painting was one of them, to feel the freedom of creation with my hands.   Now at a place to daydream, and a space left open for magic. I like song lyrics, beats of the music playing in the background as loud as it can be.  Opening my paints and then pouring and creating, I find my zone or should I say ZEN!

Love of Fluid Acrylic & Why Do I Paint?

Why do I paint? I believe we all have an invisible world inside of us. It is a place of dreams, longing and brilliance. I paint to access that invisible world -- to make the invisible visible -- not just for me but because honoring this invisible world may be the key to healing the one in front of us.  Allowing my heart and soul to speak.

Have you ever felt misunderstood or unseen?  Like you are speaking words which only barely scratch the surface of what you really want to say?  Or like everyone wants you to talk in the language of committees and profit margins and definable goals to the point where you don't remember what you wanted to say awhile back.... After that great dream or when you saw the sign for the circus and felt your heart flip? And maybe this makes you feel a little lonely.  I have. And I paint because I want to feel less lonely.

The world I am painting is unseen, yet I can feel it. And I spend my days catching glimpses of it in the way light bends around a ferris wheel at day's end or the way trees look as you bike past them on a summer day. Color, form, light -- all of these are tools (often inadequate) to communicate the unsayable something that rises up in my chest to be spoken.
